Global Trade Compliance Manager

Location: 100% Remote but must reside in Pacific Time Zone

About the Role

We are seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join a fast-paced, global manufacturing organization. This position is critical to ensuring compliance across international trade operations while supporting efficient logistics and shipping processes.

Role Overview

As the Global Trade Compliance Manager, you will oversee trade compliance for the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. You'll work closely with trade compliance attorneys and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to international regulations, optimize logistics flows, and maintain accurate product classification.

This individual must be knowledgeable in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for the United States.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and interpret international trade regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Manage global labeling standards and develop solution plans for logistics flows.
  • Oversee HTS classification for imported goods and ensure accuracy in shipping processes.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to navigate complex compliance issues and mitigate liability.
  • Support global shipping operations and process flows for efficiency and compliance.
  • Work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Top Qualifications

  • Trade compliance experience within a manufacturing company (required).
  • Strong knowledge of shipping processes and flows.
  • Expertise in international regulations and compliance standards.
  • HTS Classification experience (The Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S.) - candidates will complete an HTS test.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate stability, and adapt to a global role with flexible hours.

  • Must be comfortable operating in nuanced areas of compliance while minimizing risk.
